Inline Manual can track users of your website and display reports describing who they are and how they behave. You can use these reports to find out where they are from, which tutorials they did and their latest activity.
With people tracking enabled, you can use automation to send targeted content and automatically launch messages or walkthroughs to your users. Remember that to enable people tracking, you need to enable analytics first.
In this article, we’ll briefly discuss the people tracking feature.
The People tab
In the People tab, you get a quick overview of the numbers of users, active users and the numbers of users associated with any particular segment. You can search for users too.
Search in the People tab
You can search for users in the People tab with the advanced full-text search. It's possible to use logical operators to narrow the search down or search for the specific term.
Following operators are supported:
- a plus (+) means AND operation,
- a vertical bar (|) means OR operation,
- a minus (-) negates a single token,
- quotation marks (" ") wrap a number of tokens for searching,
- an asterisk (*) at the end of a term means a prefix query,
User profile
What was the user up to, which tutorials they have seen and how much they might be engaged? Drill down by a specific user to learn more about them.
