We're excited to announce the release of Workflows, our newest feature designed to streamline your product feedback process. Workflows allow customers to create custom workflows triggered by Inline Manual events, such as feedback and NPS ratings and send that data to a specific webhook that can be connected to popular platforms like Zapier and Make.

Our first release of Workflows supports getting the rating and then getting the comment from the user for Feedback and NPS events.

The add-on in beta is available for an additional fee of $25/month (excl. VAT) if you have less than 10,000 MAUs, or $100/month if you have more than 10,000 MAUs, per subscription (for all your sites) with unlimited usage. Once out of beta, we will introduce new usage-based pricing for everyone. As per usual, it will be affordable and sustainable.

Here are some ideas of what you can achieve by passing the data to services like Zapier or Make

  1. Pass feedback to a spreadsheet or database for analysis and reporting.
  2. Send feedback or ratings via email to designated recipients or teams.
  3. Send feedback or ratings to a Slack channel for team collaboration and discussion.
  4. Trigger an alert or notification when a specific type of feedback is received.
  5. Create a Trello card or Asana task when a user submits feedback.
  6. Record user feedback and ratings in a CRM for lead tracking and management.
  7. Analyze user feedback to identify areas for product improvement or development.
  8. Automatically respond to user feedback with a personalized message or follow-up.
  9. Create a dashboard or report to monitor and track feedback trends over time.
  10. Integrate feedback data with other tools like customer service or support software.
  11. Create a custom scorecard or rating system based on user feedback.
  12. Trigger an action or event based on user feedback or ratings, such as a discount or special offer.
  13. Send user feedback to a customer success team for personalized follow-up or support.
  14. Analyze feedback to identify common issues or pain points in the user experience.
  15. Create a survey or poll based on user feedback to gather more insights and data.
  16. Share feedback and ratings with internal teams or stakeholders to inform decision-making.
  17. Track user sentiment over time to monitor changes in customer satisfaction or loyalty.
  18. Create a custom leaderboard or ranking system based on user ratings or feedback.
  19. Use feedback to identify potential brand ambassadors or promoters and reach out to them for advocacy.

There is plenty. Any other ideas? :)

How to enable Workflows

How to create a Workflow

Workflows in Inline Manual allow you to create custom workflows triggered by specific events and send data to your chosen webhook. Here's how you can set up Workflows in your account:

  1. Navigate to the Site where you want to create a Workflow by going to "Sites" > "Site" in the main menu, then click on the "Workflows" tab.
  2. Click the "Create new workflow" button.
  3. In the "New Workflow" form, you'll see a dropdown menu to select an event triggering your Workflow. For example, you can choose "Feedback" or "NPS Rating" to trigger your Workflow when a user submits feedback or a rating.
  4. Depending on the event you select, you may have the option to pass all events of that type or select a specific Topic only. This allows you to filter the event data based on your needs.
  5. Next, enter your webhook URL in the "Webhook URL" field. This is the URL to which Inline Manual will send the event data. You can use a webhook service like Zapier, Make or create a custom webhook.
  6. Set the status to "Enabled" to activate the Workflow.
  7. Click the "Create Workflow" button to save your Workflow.

Congratulations! You have just set up your first Workflow. You can create more Workflows for other events or customize your existing Workflow to add more event data, create conditions, or perform other actions.

Return to the "Workflows" tab on the Site page to manage your Workflows. Here, you can view all your Workflows, edit their settings, and disable or delete them.

If you need further assistance or have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact our support team. We're always here to help you make the most of Inline Manual's features.
